RCI

HOLLYWOOD, FLA. -- With travelers placing increased focus on experiential travel, RCI, the global leader in vacation exchange, has redesigned its app to allow travelers to search for vacations the way they want: by experience, by destination or by both simultaneously.

"The beauty of travel is experiencing new activities to learn something about the culture around you, and maybe even something new about yourself," said Gordon Gurnik, president of RCI. "Within RCI's vacation exchange network, there are so many opportunities to book an experiential vacation, and we wanted to give our members a way to sort by the type of activity they seek on their next trip. By adding the feature to our mobile app, we are allowing our members to search this way anytime, anywhere."

When members open the app, they are met with immersive and vibrant photography that lead them through the intuitive design. Featured destinations can serve as inspiration, or members can dive right in to search by experience type, including options like adventure, food, sightseeing and nightlife.

From there, members can further refine their results by destination or other search criteria. With the new update to the app technology, members can also compare RCI affiliated resorts they are considering and add resorts to their favorites list to save for later.

Within the resort pages, which provide the complete content available on the RCI Directory of Affiliated Resorts, members can find photos, videos, detailed resort descriptions, area activity suggestions, member reviews and more. Even with this rich content available, the update increased operating speed and features simplified navigation that makes finding a vacation easier and faster than ever before.

The member app is just one of the mobile tools that RCI offers for vacation inspiration. RCI also provides an Endless Vacation® magazine app for tablets. The stunning photography and compelling stories available to members through the print magazine are found in the digital editions along with exclusive content like interactive elements, immersive videos, additional articles and photography and much more. Like the print magazine, which has one of the highest circulations of all consumer travel magazines nationwide, the app version often tops the charts for the most downloads in its category.
