SINGAPORE -- Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the world's largest and most dynamic hotel groups, today announced the signing of a management agreement for Radisson Suzhou in China with Suzhou Zheng He Investment Co., Ltd. The hotel will form part of a mixed-use development with an office tower and the hotel. Radisson Suzhou is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2017 and brings Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group's Asia Pacific pipeline to 87 hotels.

Suzhou is the second largest city of the Jiangsu province and is a major economic center and focal point of trade and commerce in the region. Radisson Suzhou is a 155-key hotel, strategically located in the Suzhou Science and Technology Town, also known as Suzhou New District. The district promotes sustained growth for new emerging industry clusters including high-technology innovation and new energy.

The hotel is served by two airports, namely Wuxi Shuofang Airport and Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, a 30 minute and 90-minute drive-away, respectively. Radisson Suzhou will feature an all-day-dining restaurant, a specialty Chinese restaurant and a lounge. Catering to a demanding MICE segment, the hotel's meetings facilities will include four versatile function rooms indigenously designed to accommodate both private and corporate events. Other hotel highlights include a well-equipped fitness center and ample parking lots.

"We look forward to our partnership with Suzhou Zheng He Investment Co., Ltd as we expand Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group's presence in China. We aim to have 50 hotels in operation by 2019 in the country and grow our presence to deliver an even stronger growth trajectory," said Thorsten Kirschke, president, Asia Pacific, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.

Carlson Rezidor has a strong representation in China, including 14 hotels currently in operation. The hotel group continues to be committed to China and strives on opportunities to grow its portfolio of brands in tier two and three destinations across the country.

"Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has a stellar global reputation in terms of network, experience and expertise. We are proud to sign the first Radisson in Suzhou and we are confident this hotel will be a shining example of hospitality excellence," said David Wang, Chairman of Suzhou Zheng He Investment Co., Ltd.
