Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group Fuels Growth In China With Radisson Hangzhou Qianjiang

SINGAPORE -- Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the world's largest and most dynamic hotel groups, today signed a management agreement for Radisson Hangzhou Qianjiang. Owned by Zhejiang Wanxiang Real Estate Co., Ltd., this new-build hotel will form part of the mixed-use development with office and retail space. Radisson Hangzhou Qianjiang is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2019.


Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang province in east China, located approximately 180 kilometers from Shanghai. Known for its lucrative manufacturing and technology industries, Hangzhou has rapidly developed and is known to be one of China's wealthiest cities. The city is also renowned for its historical relics and natural beauty.

Radisson Hangzhou Qianjiang is a 185-room hotel, strategically located within the mixed-use Bodi Centre in Qianjiang Century City. Through sustainable building techniques, the development is LEED Gold certified and comprises of 70,000 square-meters of office space and 5,000 square meters of retail space. The Bodi Centre development forms part of the Qianjiang Century City, a masterplan expansion of Qianjiang New City to be the upcoming focal point of central Hangzhou, catering to the thriving landscape of financial services, information technology, sports development and trading industries.

The hotel is located 20 km from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport. Radisson Hangzhou Qianjiang will feature several dining options with three restaurants and a bar. Recreational facilities include a swimming pool, fully equipped fitness center and a spa. The hotel's meeting and events facilities include over 1,500 square-meters of versatile function space.

In China, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has 13 hotels in six cities currently in operation and continues to strive on opportunities to grow its portfolio of brands in tier two and three destinations across the country.
