B2B booking platform for furnished apartments enters the UK market
- Homelike, the B2B booking platform for furnished business apartments, enters the UK market with several thousand apartments in London
- At the same time, the company opens its first UK office in the City of London
- Co-Founder and Managing Director Dustin Figge: "Having a branch in London will help us to offer exactly what our suppliers and customers need."
At the same time, Homelike will be opening its first UK office in a prime location in the City of London at WeWork Moorgate. Here, a strong team will be working closely with Homelike's UK suppliers and corporate clients.
"Launching Homelike in the UK was only a matter of time"
"Launching Homelike in the UK was only a matter of time, as it offers a lot of premium-quality supply as well as a high demand. However, every market is different and we knew that, for the UK in particular, having a branch in London will help us to offer exactly what our suppliers and customers need", says Dustin Figge, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Homelike.
He is optimistic about this step:
"London's temporary housing market is one of the largest in Europe and it's still growing in the business apartment segment. We are excited to offer our existing and new clients a large portfolio of curated furnished business apartments in London."
The next big move towards internationalization
The UK market launch will be the next big move towards internationalization after the launch of the Spanish website in July. With the Spanish website, Homelike expanded its potential customer base by 570 million native speakers. As a business travel hotspot with nearly 4 Million annual overseas business travelers alone, London will help the company to appeal to even more international and UK business travelers.
Homelike currently offers a portfolio of 45,000 furnished business apartments in four countries and more than 100 cities. The end-to-end booking process makes renting furnished housing for 30 days+ as easy as booking a hotel room. This allows executives to give their employees the comfort and privacy of living in their own apartment on long-term business trips. At the same time, companies save an average of 40% compared to hotel rates.
