African Hospitality On Show at Radisson Blu Hotel, Nairobi Upper Hill
The Africa Hotel Investment Forum was a great success - largely thanks to our hotel team who were the perfect hosts.
As one of the largest hotel companies in Africa, we were delighted to announce the signing of 10 new hotels in Africa to date in 2018 - accelerating our growth across the continent.
Today, we have 90 hotels and 18,000+ rooms in operation and under development across 31 countries in Africa - with plans to reach 130 hotels and 23,000+ rooms by 2022. And these plans formed the basis of our discussions at AHIF 2018.
We had a strong presence at the event, with our attendees including Elie Younes, Executive Vice President & Chief Development Officer; Tim Cordon, Area Senior Vice President, Middle East, Turkey & Africa; William McIntyre, Regional Director, Africa; and our Area Business Development team.
During the week, we also took the opportunity to host a successful owners event - attended by some of our African hotel owners and partners - where we shared updates on our strategy and our latest news.
It's important to mention the wonderful job General Manager Ian Rydin and the team at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Nairobi Upper Hill did in hosting this prestigious event. They were incredible at pulling out all the stops throughout the conference and showcasing the infamous Kenyan hospitality to an audience that included CEOs from a number of international hotel groups and many other industry leaders.
