Three months after Deutsche Hospitality took over the Scandinavian hotel brand, the twelfth hotel of the family-run Zleep Hotels opened on 04 June 2019 in Aarhus North, Denmark.

Peter Haaber, CEO of Zleep Hotels, founded the Scandinavian hotel brand in 2003 and remains CEO of the company. Currently, eleven hotels in Denmark and one hotel in Sweden are part of Zleep Hotels' portfolio; further hotels are in the planning stage.

Deutsche Hospitality will double the total number of its establishments to 250 hotels within five years.

Focus on sustainability

The Zleep Hotel Aarhus North has 100 guest rooms, a cosy Scandinavian-style lobby bar and fitness facilities for guests. The property in Aarhus was built in cooperation with the Nordic Construction Company (NCC), a construction and real estate group. The operator has created all the prerequisites for economic and social sustainability. A sustainable breakfast buffet is part of the hotel's concept as well as environmentally friendly body care products and sustainable bathroom furniture, certified according to the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, in the new hotel rooms.

Growing

Beside the newly opened Zleep Hotel in the north of Aarhus there is already a Zleep Hotel in the south of the city. "Aarhus is centrally located, with an excellent connection to the airport and the international road network and is therefore the ideal location for both business and leisure travelers," says Peter Haaber, CEO of Zleep Hotels about the second location in Aarhus.

Since its foundation in 2003, the Zleep Hotels brand has developed into a well-known and successful hotel brand in Scandinavia.
