Davy Real Estate / TMR acquire Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa in Ireland

Davy Real Estate, on behalf of Austrian investor Thomas Roggla’s TMR Hotel Collection, has purchased the 145-room Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa in County Meath, Ireland, for a reported price of €25 million (€172,000 per room), from a private family who had owned the property for 16 years. The hotel, which sits on 21 acres, is located some 20 kms north-west from the centre of Dublin. TMR has appointed Irish group Windward Management to operate the hotel. Thomas Roggla began acquiring distressed Irish hotels in 2014, and his TMR Hotel Collection now includes a total of fifteen 4- and 5-star hotels located throughout Ireland, totalling some 1,850 rooms.

Perial acquires Campanile Frankfurt Offenbach in Germany from Eyemaxx

France-based Perial Asset Management, on behalf of its SCPI PF Hospitalité Europe fund, has acquired the 3-star, 186-room Campanile Hotel in Offenbach, Frankfurt, for a reported €18 million (€97,000 per room). The seller was German property developer and investor Eyemaxx Real Estate, who acquired the previous office building in 2018 and converted it into a hotel that opened in 2020. Located 5 kms from the centre of Frankfurt, the hotel is operated by Louvre Hotel Group under a 20-year lease agreement.

Crest Hotels acquires Avisford Park Hotel in West Sussex, UK, from Albitar Business Corporation

UK-based Crest Hotels has acquired the 4-star, 140-room Avisford Park Hotel, located 6.4 kms from the historic English town of Arundel, West Sussex, off a guide price of approximately £8.95 million (£64,000 per room), from Albitar Business Corporation. Previously subject to a 20-year operational lease to Hilton that expired at the end of last year, the hotel sits on 60 acres and includes 15 meeting rooms, a bar and restaurant and extensive fitness facilities (sauna, squash, gym, pools, tennis and golf). The hotel was brought to market in July 2021 at a guide price of £10.5 million. Avisford Park is Crest Hotels’ eighth acquisition and follows the Metropole Hotel & Spa in Llandrindod Wells, Powys in Wales, which the group acquired in November 2022.
