Primestar Group strengthens its own ESG program

Berlin - In cooperation with ecomi.io AG, the Primestar Group will start the "YOUR TREE" nature conservation project in May, initially in three hotels. At the Holiday Inn Hamburg Berliner Tor, at the Hampton by Hilton Freiburg and at the Hampton by Hilton Berlin Alexanderplatz Primestar will present every guest with their personal tree. if the guest waives the daily room cleaning during multi-day stays. As a consequences, the hotel saves valuable water and cleaning agents, if guest rooms do not have to be cleaned on a daily basis.
Every guest receives his tree via a QR code: he can give his tree a name, choose a tree planting project at ecomi.io, and then follow his tree`s life online. A tree counter in the hotels shows how many guests have already planted their tree via this program.
To date, ecomi.io AG and its partner organizations have planted more than 13,000 trees in various nature conservation projects worldwide.
Dieter Esslinger, Chief Operating Officer/Managing Director and Ronald Giese, Director Franchise Operations of Primestar Group gave away the first tree at Hampton by Hilton Berlin Alexanderplatz yesterday: As hoteliers in particular, we are aware of our responsibility for acting sustainably. In addition to numerous other activities, we look forward to taking this further step in consistently living the ESG requirements together with our guests.
