Athens-based Koutoulas Consulting has been founded in 1990 by Dr. Dimitris Koutoulas. This boutique advisory firm specializes in the tourism, hospitality and event industries, with assignments having been carried out in 38 countries, predominantly in Germany, Greece, Cyprus and the GCC region. Projects implemented by Koutoulas Consulting include, among others, destination marketing campaigns with budgets of up to several million Euros, market research, strategic marketing planning, branding, concept development and feasibility studies for hotels and visitor attractions, setting up destination marketing and management organizations (DMOs), restructuring national tourism organizations, conducting mystery guest inspections, developing hotel star rating systems as well as organising tourism and hospitality awards. Koutoulas also has extensive expertise in human capital development by supporting HRM of hotels and DMOs and delivering over a hundred adult training programs such as seminars, webinars, masterclasses and multi-day academies in several countries.
