PPHE Hotel Group Limited, the international hospitality real estate group which owns, co-owns and develops hotels, resorts and campsites, is delighted to announce that Arena Hospitality Group d.d. ("Arena"), of which it is the controlling shareholder, has completed a major repositioning of the Arena Kažela Campsite.

This follows the successful launch of Croatia's first all-glamping offer, Arena One 99, in June 2018 which is delivering encouraging results and has already been recognised as an award-wining resort. The Group is very excited about the potential for Arena Kažela Campsite as Arena's first repositioned project of 2019. Additionally, Arena looks forward to starting the refurbishment of its Verudela Beach apartments this autumn.

Located in a secluded spot in Medulin on the southern coast of the Istria peninsula, following a multi-million-pound refurbishment, Arena Kažela Campsite now features 164 brand-new luxury camping homes. The luxury additions have been beautifully designed to allow guests to get closer to nature. Complete with air-conditioning, Egyptian cotton linen, coffee machines, flat screen televisions, and Wi-Fi, holidaymakers are now able to enjoy one of the resort's new 'Camping Villas', 'Camping Home Green' homes, or 'Camping Home Next' homes.

  • With each camping home offering a contemporary space for up to five people, the Camping Villas have large, floor-to-ceiling windows that let the outside in, with white and teal touches that echo the blue waters and pebble beaches that are nearby.
  • Conscious travellers will feel at home in the resort's 'Green' camping homes, which are made from ecological and recycled materials and combine modern elements with eco-friendly choices.
  • Finally, the 'Next' camping homes boast a smart design and enviable positions on the edge of the resort, a mere stone's throw from the water.

In addition to the new, luxury accommodation, the resort now features a brand-new swimming complex, which boasts over 600m² of water surface. This includes a main swimming complex, children's swimming pool, water slide and landscaped sunbathing area with parasols. Additionally, the resort features Croatia's longest relaxation pool. The resort also offers a number of activities including exercise classes and sporting facilities, and is a short distance from several blue-flag beaches and the nearby town of Pula.

The renovation at Arena Kažela Campsite follows the successful repositioning of the Holmes Hotel London which relaunched in May 2019. Repositioning projects at Park Plaza Vondelpark, Amsterdam, and Park Plaza Utrecht are ongoing, with completion dates expected in the second half of 2019."
