In a highly frequented location adjacent to the Irish World Heritage Centre in Manchester, Novum Hospitality - one of Germany's largest family-run hotel groups - has now opened the niu Loom. The midscale hotel boasts 135 innovative guestrooms attracting both business and leisure travellers.

"We are beyond excited to be able to establish our young brand the niu in the lively metropolis of Manchester as part of our internationalization strategy. Being our initial foray into the UK market, we are confident that this hotel opening marks the first of many more projects to come. Following the example of our the niu hotels in Vienna and the Netherlands, the niu Loom is the fourth hotel of our millennial brand opening its doors outside of Germany," emphasizes David Etmenan, Chief Executive Officer & Owner NOVUM Hospitality.

Local storytelling, digital innovation & social commitment

The rapidly growing lifestyle brand the niu combines unique design with an interior storytelling inspired by the hotel's neighbourhood. The epithet "Loom" is a tribute to Manchester's industrial heritage. The interior theme revolves around the formerly widespread weaving plants of the city. Industrial designs and three-dimensional weaving patterns conceived and implemented by Linda Brage of Core Design reflect the crafting character of Manchester. Murals and artwork of Björn Holzweg further highlight this theme. The Hamburg-based artist was commissioned as part of the cooperation between Novum Hospitality and the association Viva con Agua e.V. The proceeds from this partnership will contribute to ensuring that people worldwide receive access to clean drinking water.

All rooms are equipped with fixtures typical to the niu: flat screen TVs with mirroring function, Bluetooth speakers as well as a digital media library. Guests, tourists and local visitors mingle in the Living Lobby. Free high speed Wi-Fi, numerous power connections and comfortable lounge chairs create the perfect place for interaction and relaxation. The hotel bar serves drinks and bar food around the clock. Hotel manager Matt Shiells-Jones adds: "We treat every guest as a member of our social circle; we are fun, cheeky and down-to-earth! Along with the amazing environment we thrive on comfort and inspire our guests with urban art, cheeky quotes, native local products and true Manchester hospitality."

With a total of 135 rooms and central transport connections into the heart of the city, the niu Loom serves as a perfect retreat for both business and leisure travellers.
