Sameer Nair

Kolter Hospitality, a division of The Kolter Group, hired Sameer Nair as VP of hotel acquisitions. Nair will be responsible for growing Kolter's hotel portfolio by leading deal acquisition efforts such as sourcing, negotiating and executing of transactions, underwriting and capital structuring. Kolter looks to acquire upper upscale and extended stay institutional branded hotels in U.S. markets with high density and barriers to entry, walkable amenities and diversified demand generators.

Nair brings more than seven years of real estate experience to his new role, including acquisitions, asset management, development and special servicing. Previously serving as VP of hotel investments at Banyan Investment Group, Nair completed $120 million in transactions across Marriott, Hilton and Intercontinental Hotels Group franchised hotels. He was responsible for all deal deliverables from identification of target assets to conducting the closings. Prior to Banyan, Nair was a senior analyst at the Aztec Group, where he assisted on private equity investments of $185 million in value-add acquisitions, and four developments valued over $100 million in Miami.
