Twenty Four Seven Hotels (www.247hotels.com), renowned leaders in hotel management, investment, and development, announce the appointment of Jonathan Kubo as vice president of people resources. The newly-appointed Kubo brings 25 years of hospitality experience to the company.
Kubo has a strong background in hotel management human resources, working with properties throughout the United States. After graduating from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in business, Kubo went on to hold prestigious positions with notable brands, including his most recent post as senior director of global human resources at Oakwood Worldwide, where he received the President’s Award for outstanding service. Prior to that, he was a director of corporate recruiting and relocation services for Interstate Hotels & Resorts, where he gained deep-seeded multi-brand, franchise experience. During his illustrious career, Kubo has also served as HR director for a Marriott resort property in Vail and the 1500-room San Francisco Marriott Marquis.
Along with corporate staff, he will lead communication with property management and associates regarding all HR-related matters, including, but not limited to, training corporate and hotel leadership, recruitment, development, workforce planning, labor relations, legal compliance, assisting in property investigations and facilitating resolutions. In his pivotal role, Kubo will also spearhead talent acquisition for the rapidly expanding brand, which currently has just over 600 employees.
Kubo will manage his department of three team members while working with corporate and property-level leadership to enhance company culture and ensure approachable and timely counsel relative to professional performance including benefits, bonuses and incentive programs.
