Paris Las Vegas Hotel-Casino Opens With Revelation by InfoGenesis
InfoGenesis POS Delivers Success At Newest Las Vegas Hotel-Casino

LAS VEGAS / Oct. 22, 1999--Park Place Entertainment opened its new $785 million Paris Las Vegas hotel-casino to rave reviews, and Revelation by InfoGenesis handled thousands of transactions in an impressive performance of technology and teamwork as the crowds poured in to see The City of Light recreated in America.
Situated on the Las Vegas Strip, the 24-acre property features 2,916 guestrooms and an 85,000-square-foot casino. Authentic replicas of French landmarks, including a 50-story replica of the Eiffel Tower, a two-thirds replica of the Arc de Triomphe, and a re-creation of the Paris Opera House are among the French icons copied at Paris Las Vegas.
The opening of Paris marks the second hotel-casino grand opening for InfoGenesis in Las Vegas this year and adds to an impressive list of successful deployments of the Revelation POS product.
"We chose Revelation from InfoGenesis for Paris after a successful implementation in one of our Atlantic City properties," said Bob Conover, CIO Park Place Entertainment. "We couldn't be more pleased with the opening. The InfoGenesis team was remarkable, and the professionalism of their project team and IT expertise combined for a winning solution for us."
The Paris Las Vegas point-of-sale system includes 116 IBM 4695 touch screen terminals running Revelation by InfoGenesis. Revelation is a client/server POS solution that combines the performance of the Microsoft Windows NT operating system and the Microsoft SQL Server database for powerful information management and business analysis.
At the lively Paris, Revelation manages transactions from more than a dozen distinct outlets. Several property partners also chose to run their businesses on InfoGenesis POS – among them, the Chicago-based restaurant group, Lettuce Entertain You, and Black Entertainment Television (BET).
At Paris, Lettuce Entertain You introduces its award-winning Mon Ami Gabi restaurant to Las Vegas and has created the gourmet Eiffel Tower restaurant on the 11th floor of the property. Black Entertainment Television (BET) opened its cool jazz club, Tres Jazz, with InfoGenesis as well. In all, InfoGenesis point-of-sale runs all food and beverage operations for more than ten restaurants, six bars and lounges, room service, and banquet service for the entire Paris property.
