Brussels, December 2001... Following the completion of an extensive renovation program at the Radisson SAS Saga Hotel in Reykjavik, Iceland, the hotel has added a spa facility called Mecca Spa.

Mecca Spa, a state-of-the-art wellness center, offers a variety of massages and baths, as well as grooming and spa treatments, utilizing the most modern equipment available today. The incorporated gym facility features the latest equipment and offers the service of personal trainers.

The Mecca Spa uses clay and spa treatments based on hydro-techniques and substances. Among these ocean-based treatments is the Mecca Lava, which includes a body scrub under Vichy showers followed by a hot lava stone massage using pure oil made of Icelandic herbs. Different beauty treatments are also offered featuring the Phytomer skin and body care products, which are based on the equilibrium of nature and the ocean.

Guests can also simply enjoy themselves in the Jacuzzi under a starlit roof after a hot sauna or steam bath. Towels, bathrobes and slippers are provided. Guests staying at the Radisson SAS Island Hotel, also in Reykjavik, have complimentary access to the Mecca Spa and are offered free transportation to the Saga hotel.
