HYANNIS, Mass., Infinium Software INFM, a provider of Web-integrated enterprise business solutions, today announced the next generation of its Human Resources/Payroll solutions that includes a modernized Web architecture, Self- Service, and Recruiting Automation offerings.

Web Architecture

Infinium architecturally modernized its HR/Payroll solution, while preserving its customer's investments in Infinium's previous release versions. Infinium's Web-integrated business applications framework features a three- tiered architecture with an applications/data services layer, a Web/applications service layer, and a client/presentation layer, and it is based on commonly used Web standards such as Java, J2EE, XML, and HTTP.

Infinium's modern architecture allows customers to quickly integrate information across platforms and applications using XML standards. And, its Web architecture facilitates Web connectivity and enables greater internal and external collaboration.

In addition, this new architecture provides for Web browser access to all Infinium solutions.

The sophisticated look and feel of the Web user interface (UI) replicates the smooth navigation and logical organization users have come to expect from Infinium. Infinium's Web UI also provides for access to embedded self-help guides, which empowers users to walk through the data elements of particular business processes and gets them up-to-speed more quickly on their Infinium applications.

Self-Service

Reducing costs while improving service to managers and employees, the next generation of Infinium's fully-interactive, browser-based Human Resources/Payroll solutions include: Employee Self-Service, Manager Self- Service, Benefits Self-Service.

Infinium's Employee Self-Service solution offers employees the opportunity to view, and when appropriate, change personal, work-life information. Infinium's Manager Self-Service solution gives managers and supervisors the ability to create requests and manage approvals for important workplace changes related to individual employees. Infinium's Benefits Self-Service solution enables benefits and compensation managers to efficiently manage the open enrollment process.

"Infinium's self-service solutions offer a wide range of manager, employee and benefits self-service features that reduce our administrative workload and costs and empower our people," said Sherree Dietz Mitchum, Manager of Financial and Human Resources Information Systems, at University Medical Associates. "They enhance collaboration, communication, and workflow throughout our entire organization."

Recruiting Automation

Infinium, in partnership with eLabor, a leading workforce solutions provider, offers a Web-based solution that automates every step of the recruitment process. Integrated with the next generation of Infinium's Human Resources solutions, eLabor's solution suite eliminates paper-based practices, saves time, and accelerates the hiring process. eLabor solutions also dramatically reduce cost-per-hire and extend the value of a customers' investment in Infinium's HR solution, providing the highest possible ROI.

"Infinium Human Resources and eLabor's recruitment solutions will empower us to quickly and cost-effectively create talented teams," said Joe Lofink, Controller, Delaware Park, a horse racetrack. "These solutions will drastically decrease our cost-per-hire, dramatically reduce the time and money we spend on administrative tasks, and help us to analyze the effectiveness of our recruitment methods."

The next generation of Infinium's Human Resources/Payroll solutions reduce customer and prospect transaction costs, improve workflow and data accuracy, provide quick and easy access to information, drives levels of workforce satisfaction higher, and frees resources to focus on more strategic initiatives.
