ARESCOM Announces New Multi-port EVDSL Concentrator Series
FREMONT, Calif., ARESCOM, INC., a global provider of High-Speed Internet Access (HSIA) equipment and related services for the hospitality, residential property, telecommunication and ISP markets, announces a new multi-port EVDSL Concentrator series for the ARESCOM Hospitality Network (AHN): the CDS 6024ES 24-port EVDSL Concentrator series.
The CDS 6024ES 24-port EVDSL Concentrator module is the newest addition to the growing family of CDS 6000 DSL Concentrator series, which enable Hotel Operators, ISPs, and System Integrators to conveniently expand and grow their AHN service to quickly accommodate new AHN subscribers.
Implementing the latest and best in DSL technology, the CDS 6024ES employs EVDSL (Ethernet over VDSL) technology, which allows the concentrator to run EVDSL over the existing phone line to deliver high-bandwidth speeds up to 15 Mbps symmetrical and on each of its 24 EVDSL ports. (A CDS 6024 model that can run 25 Mbps asymmetrical will be available soon.) In addition, the CDS 6024ES incorporates a built-in Gigabit Fast Ethernet switch that provides a high-performance, robust backbone as well as allowing any combination of multiple concentrators to be easily daisy-chained together via two Gigabit Ethernet ports, providing for large single system configurations. The CDS 6024ES will also work in conjunction with ARESCOM's 802.11b wireless EVDSL Access Points (APs) installed in all AHN-powered hospitality and residential properties to provide 802.11b wireless Internet access connectivity throughout the property.
This type of high-bandwidth, full-duplex transport DSL technology makes the CDS 6024ES the perfect DSL service module for running the bandwidth-exhaustive applications demanded in today's hospitality market space, such as Video Conferencing and Video on Demand services in hotels.
