Marriott International

ORLANDO, Fla. - Marriott Vacation Club International and Euro Disney SCA announced today the opening of Marriott's first vacation ownership resort in France, Marriott's Village d'Ile-de-France at Disneyland® Resort Paris. The new resort is set in the scenic countryside of the Marne-la-Vallée region, approximately 20 miles east of Paris. The Marriott property offers convenient access to the adjacent Disney® Parks and Golf Disneyland®, a golf course designed by Ronald Fream.

"Disneyland® Resort Paris provides an outstanding vacation setting," said Stephen P. Weisz, president, Marriott Vacation Club International. "In our pursuit to provide world-class resort options for our vacation owners, we are delighted to add this destination to our global resort portfolio."

Creating the atmosphere of a quaint French village in the country, the resort will be built in six distinct phases of town homes, each inspired by the rural residences of a different French Impressionist painter. The resort's first 44 town homes are modeled after Monet's celebrated country home and gardens in Giverny. In the heart of the village lies a charming Town Square that includes a flower shop and French bakery, as well as an indoor pool reminiscent of a late 19th-century crystal greenhouse.

"We are pleased to welcome at Disneyland® Resort Paris the first Marriott vacation ownership resort in France," said Jay Rasulo, President of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. " Marriott's Village d'Ile-de-France will benefit from an exceptional location at the heart of the first European tourist destination. It will extend further the site's accommodation offerings and allow guests to fully enjoy all the leisure opportunities Disneyland® Resort Paris has to offer by favoring one week stays."

Upon completion, Marriott's Village d'Ile-de-France at Disneyland® Resort Paris will contain 190 two-bedroom/two-bath town houses, each providing 1,130 square feet (101.7 square meters) of living area to comfortably accommodate six guests. Features in these spacious homes away from home include a master suite with oversized soaking tub and two vanities, separate living and dining areas, a fully-equipped kitchen, washer/dryer and a patio with golf course views.

Pre-construction sales for Marriott's Village d'Ile-de-France commenced April 2002. Current prices range from $13,900 to $28,300 per week of ownership. Town houses are also offered for nightly rentals, subject to availability.

Whether desiring a lifetime of vacations or just the vacation of a lifetime, owners and guests at the new Marriott Vacation Club resort can enjoy sightseeing, shopping and dining options throughout Paris and its region. The Ile-de-France, the province that hosts the capital city and its surrounding areas, historically represents the creative epicenter of France—from the Eiffel Tower, Musée du Louvre and Arc de Triomphe in Paris itself to Versailles, Fontainbleau, Vaux-le-Vicomte and the numerous castles, palaces, gardens, and monuments the region has to offer. Shoppers can browse in the new International Shopping Center and La Vallée® Outlet Shopping Village at Disneyland® Resort Paris, as well as in Paris' trendy shopping districts. For families, the Ile-de-France offers many fun opportunities, including a wonderful zoo, educational museums, a renowned butterfly enclosure at La Queue-les-Yvelines and the France Miniature park featuring the country's landmarks built on a child's scale. The picturesque Champagne region to the east and famous vineyards of the Loire to the west offer yet more opportunities to explore.
