The international multi-brand hotel management company Rezidor SAS has launched a new Meetings Facilities Directory – available in hard copy or online – covering four of its hotel brands.

Meetings planners now have one-stop access to facilities at Radisson SAS, Regent, Park Inn and Country Inn properties across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

“The meetings market will be our prime sales focus for 2005,” says Olivier Jacquin, senior vice-president, Rezidor SAS Hospitality. “The Directory and dedicated website are just the first step in a programme of initiatives planned for the year ahead.”

The Rezidor SAS Directory’s big difference, says Jacquin, is that it is destination-led, putting the locations’ USPs first.

“While many meetings planners have little choice when it comes to destination, research has shown that a sizeable number have greater flexibility,” he says. “Many meetings professionals like to ring the changes to bring a new dynamism to otherwise mundane gatherings.”

Once the planner has established the destination of choice, the Meetings Facilities Directory compares and contrasts the various RezidorSAS hotels in that location.

“Much as we would like all meetings to be booked into our top-end Regent properties, we recognise that requirements vary,” Jacquin explains. “Our fast-growing portfolio increasingly enables us to offer different solutions, catering to an ever-wider client base.” Rezidor SAS currently operates 234 hotels in 46 EMEA countries, but will have 700 hotels on its books by 2012.
