Hotel Workers Union Alerts SFO Travelers of Potential Problems Using Internet Reservations Site ParkSleepFly
BURLINGAME, Calif.m | UNITE HERE Local 2 launched a website () to alert the traveling public of the potential problems of using an internet reservations website called ParkSleepFly for SFO accommodations.
ParkSleepFly is an internet-based company that offers reservations for airport hotel accommodations and parking. One of the hotels that ParkSleepFly prominently promotes is the Comfort Suites South San Francisco, which has been the subject of a prolonged labor dispute since its operator, Paramount Hospitality Management, mass-fired its long-term housekeeping staff last year. In addition to the labor dispute, concerns have been raised about the cleanliness of the hotel.
ParkSleepFlyWatch.info is a resource to help travelers make informed decisions about their accommodations. "Unfortunately, ParkSleepFly is doing their clients a disservice by keeping them in the dark. Potential guests have the right to know about what's happening at the hotel," stated Becky Perrine, researcher for the Union.
Despite repeated communications to the Company by Local 2, ParkSleepFly has not taken action to caution guests at the hotel.
