Solare Hotels & Resorts (Head Office: Minato Ward, Tokyo; President: A. G. Virili; www.solarehotels.com) will open the eagerly anticipated Loisir Hotel & Spa Tower Naha as a luxury spa resort on July 17th, 2009. The existing 419 rooms Loisir Hotel Naha will be rebranded, and integrated with a new annex building, the Loisir Spa Tower Naha, on an adjoining site.

Loisir Spa Tower Naha will be a 12-story, crescent shaped building on a 3,300 square meter site. The spa will be on the second floor, and a total of 89 guestrooms will be situated on the seventh through twelfth floors. A sky bridge will seamlessly connect the two buildings. The new Loisir Spa Tower Naha boasts the following features:

  • Interior Design: The stylish interior will feature a contemporary take on Okinawan style with the use of bingata, a traditional dyed fabric from Okinawa, creating a stylish, relaxing atmosphere for an unforgettable experience.
  • Guestrooms: The Spa Tower will boast some of the most spacious rooms in Naha, with an average of 40 square meters each. Modern bingata designs on the walls and other decorative items such as Ryukyu glass, yachimun (traditional Okinawan ceramics) and aromatic lamps create tranquil surroundings. The tenth through twelfth floors offer guests spectacular ocean views as well as natural hot spring baths in the privacy of their own rooms, a feature unique to Loisir Spa Tower Naha.
  • Spa facilities: The entire second floor, covering 995 square meters, will be devoted to the spa, consisting of a large, natural hot spring communal bath and spa treatment area. The natural hot spring will allow guests to unwind, providing a restorative bathing experience based on the concept of being surrounded by a tropical garden. In the spa treatment area, the "Day Spa" will provide various ayurveda-based treatments using holistic, organic sundari products to rejuvenate and soothe the mind and body. No other hotel in Naha offers natural hot spring baths.

Solare Hotels & Resorts CEO A.G. Virili stated, "We are very excited to announce the opening of the Spa Tower as the total resort will offer in excess of 500 Loisir rooms. Loisir Hotel & Spa Tower Naha will deliver a healing oasis in an atmosphere of unparalleled luxurious hospitality. This property in Okinawa expands Solare's Loisir portfolio to eight hotels nationwide, with a total of 1,895 guestrooms."
