International Hotel Technology Forum (IHTF) 2008

The International Hotel Technology Forum (IHTF) takes place on 14 – 17 May at the InterContinental in Dubai, UAE. With only weeks until the event, preparations for this highly anticipated IHTF are well underway. There is an impressive line up of key Hoteliers and vendors who will be attending including; Four Seasons, Accor, Hilton, Marriott, InterContinental Hotels Group and Starwood.

IHTF is very much about focused business development through one-to-one meetings making it a unique global event within the hotel technology industry.

Main areas of discussion at IHTF 2009 will be VoIP, IP Convergence and ‘The Critical Theory of Hotel Technology’. These topics will be lead respectively by Avaya, VDA and AMX. Also there will be industry led discussions about the future of hotel technology as well as workshops and presentations from senior experts in the industry.

This will be the sixth year that IHTF has taken place and it is still regarded as one of the leading events within the hospitality industry. Claudia Wood, IHTF Forum Manager commented: “With the economic down turn experienced from last year it was predicted that technology advances would take a back seat to sustainability in a tough market. However, technology is still at the forefront of hotel business and continues to strive ahead and become one of the most important investments for hotels.”

Due to the popularity of the event plans for IHTF 2010 have already begun. Next year’s event will take place on 15 – 18 April at the Park Plaza Riverbank, London, UK.
