CLEVELAND | Agilysys, Inc. (Nasdaq: AGYS), a leading provider of innovative information technology and hospitality software solutions, announced today that Treasure Island in Las Vegas has selected a comprehensive software suite from Agilysys, including solutions for property management, inventory and procurement, guest marketing and document management, to streamline operations at the 2,885-room property. Treasure Island is also expanding its use of InfoGenesis™ POS by Agilysys.

"We wanted to work with a single vendor, and the Agilysys solutions are among the most reliable on the market," said Dominick Vacca, vice president of information technology at Treasure Island. "We especially like the new guest-oriented version of LMS and the Guest eMarketing solution, both of which will enable us to capitalize on revenue opportunities and realize a competitive advantage. Also, the new retail-centric functionality offered by InfoGenesis POS encouraged us to expand its use throughout the property, so that we have a single POS solution for enterprise-wide operations."

Treasure Island will use the following solutions from Agilysys:

  • Lodging Management System® (LMS), a comprehensive property management solution that automates every aspect of a hotel's operations — from reservations and credit card processing to accounting and housekeeping. Its versatile foundation easily expands to incorporate modules for activities scheduling, attraction ticketing, food and beverage, online reservations, remote check-in, spa scheduling and more. Treasure Island will be using LMS+, the latest version of the LMS property management solution, which includes an enhanced browser-based interface, the LMS ARTS activities planner and Guest Hub, a centralized repository for guest profiles, including history, itineraries, interests and preferences.
  • Stratton Warren System (SWS), a full-featured inventory and procurement solution that maximizes purchasing power and reduces operational costs. Recognized as the hospitality industry's leading inventory and procurement system, SWS automates the entire procurement process — from food and beverage to general property materials — and provides a fast and measurable return on investment by reducing labor costs and waste and eliminating time-consuming and error-prone paper documents.
  • Guest eMarketing (GeM), a feature-rich guest correspondence and marketing management solution that enables properties to create cost-effective and highly personalized e-mail campaigns. With GeM, Treasure Island can send promotional offers, reminders, newsletters and surveys and obtain data that leads to improved performance.
  • DataMagine™ document management system, a patented solution that automatically captures, indexes and archives all business-critical documents and reports. The property is using the DataMagine Signature Capture module to digitally capture guest signatures at check-in and upon completion of retail transactions. Signatures are stored for future online retrieval, enabling quick settlement of disputes and eliminating write-offs.

Treasure Island is also expanding its use of InfoGenesis POS, an enterprise-ready point-of-sale solution that combines powerful reporting and configuration capabilities with a touch-screen terminal application. The property had already been using InfoGenesis POS in its food and beverage outlets. Now, it will implement the solution in its retail stores, ensuring streamlined operations throughout the property.

"Treasure Island is among the first properties to use the new version of the LMS property management solution, which pairs 24/7 reliability with an enhanced guest experience," said Tina Stehle, senior vice president and general manager of Agilysys Hospitality Solutions Group. "We continue to invest in our industry-leading LMS solution by adding a variety of guest-oriented features and functionality that take guest service to the next level and help boost revenue by providing up-sell opportunities. Our comprehensive software suite will enable Treasure Island to increase productivity, conserve resources and manage its many venues more efficiently, all while helping ensure an outstanding guest stay."

Treasure Island, located at the heart of the Las Vegas strip, features 2,885 guest rooms and suites, nine restaurants, seven bars, state-of-the-art spa, full-service salon and tropical pool with private cabanas and lounge area. The property also includes 90,000 square feet of gaming space, 18,000 square feet of meeting space, numerous retail shops and a 1,600-seat showroom. It is home to Cirque du Soleil's Mystère, one of the most popular shows in Las Vegas. Treasure Island is owned by entrepreneur Phil Ruffin.
