A lineup of marketing experts will help keep industry professionals up-to-date in the fast-paced digital world at the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Digital Marketing Strategy Conference (DMSC).

The conference, which will focus this year on "Maximizing Your Digital Storefront," is set to take place Feb. 25 at the New York Marriott Marquis following the annual Adrian Awards Gala, also taking place at the hotel Feb. 24.

The one-day DMSC features sessions led by industry experts and focuses on current issues facing hospitality professionals in the digital space, such as how to benchmark digital initiatives, capitalize on search, leverage big data to drive higher ROI and retention, implement tactical storytelling through channels such as Facebook and Instagram, and utilize responsive design while knowing its limitations.

"As the number of digital channels continue to grow exponentially, hospitality marketers are often forced to navigate this increasingly complex universe with limited time and resources," said Robert A. Gilbert, CHME, CHBA, president & CEO of HSMAI. "Our Digital Marketing Strategy Conference is designed to help attendees define their digital marketing challenges, learn which to prioritize and develop a thoughtful plan of action."

In addition, Porter Gale, former vice president of marketing for Virgin America, will deliver the keynote seminar, "The Future of Marketing." Dr. Bill Carroll, senior lecturer at Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, will moderate the conference.

Gale is a social media expert and an entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in marketing, advertising and independent filmmaking. Gale holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Boston University as well as a master's degree in documentary film and video from Stanford University. In addition, Gale released her first book, "Your Network Is Your Net Worth," in 2013 which focuses on growing your network in today's digital society and features case studies, hands-on advice and strategies on how to do so. She frequently blogs for Advertising Age and The Huffington Post, and has been quoted or interviewed in more than 100 outlets including Adweek, CNN, New York Times, PRWeek and Wall Street Journal, among others.

The conference is supported by many leading industry companies, including:

  • Silver Partners: Cendyn, MICROS Systems, Inc., Milestone Internet Marketing and TravelClick
  • Bronze Partners: Expedia Media Solutions, Google, HeBS Digital, Infor, McDougall & Duval Advertising, Navis, Room Key, Sojern and TripAdvisor
