Magnuson Hotels announced today its 400th Best Western conversion, the Magnuson Hotel and Suites Alamogordo located in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Formerly the Best Western Desert Aire, the 92-room hotel has upgraded its brand presence to increase exposure via Magnuson Hotels' growing consumer awareness and global portfolio of nearly 2,000 hotels.

Driving the rapid growth of Best Western conversions to the Magnuson brand is Magnuson's recent certification to the US Franchise Registry, the national listing of brands approved by the US Small Business Administration (SBA). Hotel brands approved by the SBA and its guarantee allow hotel owners and developers faster track funding from local and regional banks.

Total 2014 YTD Magnuson Hotels brand growth has risen 40% over same period 2013, and the 400 Best Western conversions are particularly notable as the amount is equivalent to 20% of Best Western's North American portfolio.

"On behalf of Magnuson Hotels, we are proud to welcome Tony Mandalia and his team to the Magnuson Hotels brand family," said Thomas Magnuson, company CEO. "We are fully committed to growing his revenue, his company, and his plan to become the top hotel in his market."

The conveniently located Alamogordo, New Mexico hotel is close to the New Mexico Museum of Space History, White Sands National Monument, the White Sands Missile Range, and the Trinity Site.
