Strategic hospitality development services firm, The John Hardy Group, today announced its official corporate name change to The Hardy Group after more than 27 years in business. The new name more broadly reflects an expanding leadership tier, that has grown after many years of expansion at the firm.

"By changing our name from The John Hardy Group to The Hardy Group, I'm proud to honor the range of men and women wh o have made this company a success in the hospitality development world," said Founder and CEO John Hardy. "At the same time, we're announcing the addition of several highly experienced individuals who will help bring this company into the next generation."

Melanie Johns brings more than 30 years of financial reporting experience in various development, management and construction industries to The Hardy Group. Previously she held several VP roles at Cortland Partners where she oversaw its accounting, financial planning, tax and investor reporting. With her extensive experience in finance, Melanie will additionally bring forth her proficiency in implementing new technology and systems in accounting that will be an advantage for The Hardy Group, an innovative leader in the field. The John Hardy Group previously spun a project management and accounting technology out of its offices. Rivur, founded by development director Brent Hardy and CTO Max Ellerhorst, is currently used by The Hardy Group and three other industry firms.

Headquartered in Atlanta, the company has offices in New York, Los Angeles, Honolulu and Paris. The New York office sees new leadership with Michael Linczyc as Managing Director and the promotion of Anthony Legamaro to Senior Project Director.

With over 25+ years of leadership experience, Michael Linczyc's background in business strategy, design and technical knowledge serve as an excellent resource for The Hardy Group. Originally qualified and practiced as an architect in the UK, Linczyc has a passion for design which reflects in all his work. Prior to The Hardy Group, he has held senior positions with creative innovators such as Rockwell Group, Wilson Associates, Starwood and Morgans Hotel Group. Most recently, Linczyc has worked on the $500M, redevelopment of 35 acres of Fort Lauderdale Beach to include a hotel, residences, retail, office and a superyacht marina.

In his new position, Legamaro celebrates the recent competition of complex projects including the 563-room Conrad Midtown hotel, and the Assemblage John Street: a modern apartment-style coworking/living space within a historic building in New York City's Financial District. Legamaro is currently working on two new projects at the Regency Pittsburgh Airport and Newark Hilton Penn Station.
