HSMAI Washington DC Chapter, which serves hospitality professionals throughout the Washington metropolitan area, today announced the appointment of a new chair for 2020 and two new members to its advisory board. 

Leticia Proctor (pictured left), senior vice president of sales, marketing, and revenue management for Donohoe Hospitality Services, Bethesda, Maryland will move from the chair-elect position to serve as advisory board chair in 2020, while two new members, Mike Parent (pictured center), senior vice president of sales and marketing for Coakley & Williams Hotel Management Company, Greenbelt, Maryland and Dan Rice (pictured right), area manager, Expedia Group, Washington, DC, have joined the board.

Proctor, who joined the advisory board in 2017, is responsible for the development and implementation of Donohoe Hospitality Services' sales, marketing and revenue management efforts at the national, regional and property levels. During her career of more than 20 years, she served as senior vice president of sales, revenue management and digital strategies for PM Hotel Group, Washington; regional director of sales for Hersha Hospitality Management; area director of sales and marketing for Kimpton Hotels; and director of sales and marketing for Crestline Hotels and Resorts, Remington Hotels and Resorts and the former Holiday Inn Select Bethesda.

Parent, a 43-year hospitality industry veteran, has been with Coakley & Williams for more than 12 years. He oversees a wide range of properties, including city-center, beachfront, suburban, attraction-centric, conference centers, and upscale B&Bs. Mike's hotel career includes key leadership positions at Potomac Hotel Group, Taj Hotels International, and Choice Hotels International.

Rice, leads the Expedia DC Metro market management team. Harnessing the power of Expedia's unique data insights, marketing, distribution and revenue management tools, his team maximizes production potential for hotel partners and positions DC as a top global destination.

From 2006 to 2016, Rice was a senior market Manager with Orbitz Worldwide, transitioning from the Caribbean to the Washington, DC market in 2011. His prior professional experience has spanned the disciplines of sales, marketing, operations, and finance at Carnival Cruise Lines, Delta Vacations, Autotrader.com, Royal Resorts, and LTU Airlines. He began his career as a Baltimore City public school teacher with the Teach For America program and was a charter member of AmeriCorps, the Corporation for National and Community Service.
