The Ibis Budget Tbilisi Center, part of the Accor chain, is perfectly positioned for leisure and business guests and close to everything the Georgian capital offers.Only a twenty-minute drive from the airport and just a one-minute walk from Rustaveli Avenue, this brand-new 158-room hotel has a lobby bar and a restaurant.

Reason 1. It's Oracle

With over 5,200 hotels in 110 countries operating under 40 different brands, the Accor chain demanded that the highest possible standards for Property Management Systems be installed in their hotels. Accor has done a great job dividing up what functions need to be centralized and what don’t to facilitate rapid innovation while still maintaining brand standards.

The Accor chain has certified Oracle. This means that Oracle OPERA met its requirements for the following:

  • Flexibility to build or buy components that need to be upgraded in the future.
  • Provision of PCI AOC that is penetration-tested and monitored by centralized Hotel Tech teams,
  • Open API-based integrations allow new applications to be quickly added at the regional or property level.
  • Has advanced 2-way integrations with Accor’s loyalty and distribution platforms through D-Edge,
  • The ability to be integrated with the Accor data system and hotel CRM.

Reason 2. Based on Cloud

Of particular importance to the hospitality industry is data security. Having a large amount of data stored in one cloud server provides us with the best data backup and security, which makes it readily available for users.

OPERA Cloud also provides other benefits. The system does not need a browser, hardware, or an operating system. The Cloud PMS can run on a desktop or a mobile device via different connectivity options and public networks or without a VPN.

Cloud technologies allow cost savings on IT infrastructure. The cloud does not require database upgrades, data back-up, or windows updates. The big advantage is that the manufacturer takes care of all the system upgrades, making the cloud available anytime and anywhere. Lika Chikhladze, General Manager of the Ibis Budget Tbilisi Center

OPERA Cloud has options for new-generation technologies. Room keys can be created virtually for cards, bracelets, and mobile applications; IDs can be scanned with a smartphone while meeting local regulations and checking out via a kiosk, smartphone, or an in-room device.

Reason 3. HRS support

The HRS Technical Service department works closely with IT departments, and the extent of this liaison determines how quickly technical questions can be dealt with.

We interact with customers via several channels: e-mail, customer liaison, online feedback, and hotline. For even faster communication, we have created a mobile app with a short path to get instant feedback from a specialist. In addition to our customer service, we offer numerous training webinars explaining how the systems work in detail.

Before we opened the hotel, we knew that we needed a functional and accurate system, and because of our previous experience with Oracle products and HRS, we knew that the proposed system would meet our needs. Lika Chikhladze, General Manager of the Ibis Budget Tbilisi Center

Reason 4. Effective reports and analytics

OPERA Cloud comes with over 700 pre-set reports, so straight out of the box, it can answer almost every question that could arise during the running of a hotel. Whether a manager or a maid, a report in OPERA will do precisely what you want. And all reports and analytics are available on your tablet or mobile device, so managers no longer need to be tied to the reception.

Our objective was to get a stable and accurate PMS system. The detailed reports and analytics are fantastic and help with our management and business planning. As for chain hotels, one of the basic conditions required for operational efficiency is unified and comprehensible analytics, which cannot be overemphasized. Lika Chikhladze, General Manager of the Ibis Budget Tbilisi Center

Reason 5. Satisfaction

Lika Chikhladze, General Manager of the Ibis Budget Tbilisi: Our experience with OPERA Cloud is positive, but because it is a new platform, there are some updates that should be done. The system is flexible and easy to use and modify, so it should save the time of managers who work with it.

It was great to work with the Ibis Budget Tbilisi team. We installed the system in just a few days, and everything went well. I am very pleased with what we have achieved together, and I am sure that OPERA Cloud will satisfy all the needs of the Ibis Budget Tbilisi.. Andrey Volodkin, HRS Product Manager OPERA

Every business has its own specific requirements. Whether you are a national company, an international chain, or just a small independent hotel, a property management system can help you enhance customer satisfaction, improve operations, reduce unnecessary costs, and boost revenue streams.
