Global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield and Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co. have announced the sale of the hotel currently trading as the DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon in Wiltshire.

The full-service hotel currently comprises 171 en-suite guest rooms along with amenities including two food and beverage outlets, fitness and wellbeing facilities, and extensive conferencing and event suites.

The hotel stands to benefit from growing corporate demand following the consolidation of major corporates to Lydiard Fields Business Park, where the hotel is located, and nearby Windmill Hill Business Park, with Swindon also undergoing large-scale real estate and infrastructure initiatives set to boost the local economy.

The hotel has been acquired by a private investor with a growing hotel portfolio.

We are delighted to have advised on the sale of this well-established, full-service hotel, which offered both stable cashflow and tangible value-add opportunities. The sale demonstrates recognition of the significant transformation ongoing in Swindon, with substantial public and private capital being deployed — from Panattoni’s redevelopment of the former Honda site, to major investment into the town centre. This transaction marks a key milestone in the continued recovery and growing investor confidence in the UK’s regional hospitality market. Ed Fitch, Head of Hospitality UK & Ireland at Cushman & Wakefield
Christie & Co is pleased to have co-brokered this significant transaction which demonstrates continuing confidence from a broad spectrum of domestic as well as international investors both from an operational and transactional perspective in the UK regional hotel market. All signs point to a busy start to 2026. Jeremy Jones, Head of Brokerage – Hotels at Christie & Co
