Market share vs. profits - an oxymoron
Webster’s Dictionary defines “oxymoron” as “a combination of contradictory or incongruous words.” And recent comments by some industry experts suggest the following two statements are mutually exclusive: 1.Hotels are more worried about revenue than revenue per available room. 2.They are more concerned about market share than profits.
