NOVUM Hospitality"s niu hotel in Haarlem is quickly taking shape and will open earlier than anticipated: Featuring 84 rooms on 3,000 square meters, the innovative, mid-range hotel niu will open its doors in the Dutch city of Haarlem by the end of March 2018 instead of in the second quarter of the year, as previously planned. "Working in collaboration with the HBB group and Mulderblauw Architects, we are delighted and proud to have exceeded expectations, both in terms of timing and project implementation," announced David Etmenan, Chief Executive Officer & Owner of the NOVUM Group.

Taking its cues from agriculture and the former dairy located on the property, the niu hotel"s site-specific, cultural design concept "Milk & Music" is steadily taking shape within the building's interior, name, etc. Novum Hospitality selected the moniker "Dairy" for its forward thinking location, working with Mulderblauw Architects to integrate elements from the world of agricultural production and alternative pop music into the interior design. Why music? Featuring the music venue Patronaat, the city district has become a destination for the alternative pop scene. Eye-catching cowhides, milk bottles, and portraits of local musicians create a singular hotel experience that exceeds expectations for mid-range hotels. Beyond an uncommon interior, locals and travellers will find a hotel that combines the latest technology with hip events and a discerning food and beverage concept. From its "Living Lobby" to the restaurant, niu provides an open, living space.
