Joshua Sumption began working at EI’s Lansing, Michigan office as a member of the fulfillment department in 1999. The following year, he moved to the IT department as a PC support coordinator. He was promoted to network administrator in July 2004, with responsibility for supporting AH&LA and AH&LEF’s IT functions. In March 2007, he become manager of network operations and relocated to EI’s Orlando office. Sumption was promoted to director of network operations in November 2009, and to chief technology officer in October 2011.

He joined Hilton Worldwide as CTO earlier in the year to lead the company’s technology infrastructure, vendor management and run-time operations. Since joining the company, Murphy has helped to ensure optimal efficiency in the company’s technology systems and focused on projects that immediately assist the business in delivering on its priorities.

Additionally, Lapekas played the primary role in Pegasus’ largest licensing transaction in company history with HP to leverage Pegasus technology for next generation airline and hospitality solutions.

After graduating of the ESSCA and ESSEC business schools, majoring in management, Laurent began his career with Accor in 1987 as head of budget control for the Restaurants Division, after completing several internships between 1983 and 1987 in the operations, marketing and finance areas. He continued within Accor Reservation Services (now named Res&Rev) holding various administrative, financial and operational positions, covering France and some foreign countries. He then joined DGSIT, where he was responsible for Administration, Quality, HR, Legal Affairs, Communication and Special Projects from 1997 to 2003. In 2003, he was posted to Dallas, USA, to oversee the information systems used by our “Business & Leisure” hotels in the United States, Canada and Mexico. In 2005, his role was widened to include the Model6/Studio6 information systems and the systems used by Sofitel hotels in the Americas region. Laurent's last day at Accor North America is April 15th.

Monika Nerger replaces Nick Price who recently decided to step down as CIO effective 31 August, 2011. Nick joined MOHG from Daily Farm in January 2000 and has contributed significantly to the MOHG success, positioniing Mandarin Oriental as a global leader in Hospitality Technology. Monika Nerger joined MOHG in 2006 as vice president technology, The Americas. Monika will be based in Atlanta.

Erich Hoefer è stato promosso a Vice President, Corporate Development and Innovation presso Choice Hotels International, Inc.

Mr. Hoefer will continue to report to Patrick Pacious, executive vice president, global strategy, distribution and technology. In his new position, Mr. Hoefer will lead the company's efforts to develop new business opportunities. A key part of Mr. Hoefer's expanded role is to look at opportunities to expand the organization's distribution platform with new business models, develop new markets for Choice Hotels products, as well as identify avenues to leverage its assets for potential monetization opportunities.
