Complete Hogatex Property Management System Now Available As Multi-Property Version For Hotel Chains

Vaterstetten n. München, Four components, or - as IT professionals would put it - modules, together make up the Hogatex Property Management System: Front Office, Sales & Marketing, CCM-Corporate Conference Manager and IFMS - the Financial Management solution. Two of these modules - CCM and IFMS - have been available as Multi-property solutions for several years already. Now, the two remaining components have been upgraded, that is “multiproperty-enabled”, too: With the recent release of version Hogatex 6.1.0, Front Office and Sales & Marketing are also supplied as Multi-property solutions. Grand Hotels Bad Ragaz in Switzerland have been successfully operating with Hogatex 6 Multi-property since summer 2003.
Several years ago, CCM Multi-property was installed to the Swiss bank UBS. And numerous German Accor properties are already equipped with IFMS Multi-property. To date, the new Hogatex version 6 operates in some 70 properties.
What is Multi-property?
To cut a long story short: Multi-property related to IT solutions for hotels means that several properties (multi-properties) of a hotel chain or cooperation manage their complete guest data via one single central database. For all hotel properties, each and every guest is registered only once in the central hotel chain’s database. All member properties have access to this “shared guest profile”.
Hogatex 6 Multi-property may be installed to the headquarters of a hotel chain. Another option is to “outsource” the central hosting to our partner Amadeus. Their data center in Erding/Munich is one of the biggest and most secure of its kind worldwide. The Amadeus server farm resembles a high-security wing presenting impressive statistics: They handle 150 million transactions per day and secure a 99.9 %-availability.
The most important features for hotel chains provided by Hogatex Multi-property at a glance
Central data management via Hogatex 6 Multi-property offers more flexibility to hotel chains and hotel cooperations. The following list specifies only some aspects of the solution's full potential:- Guest files: The entire hotel chain uses one single electronic file for each guest. Benefits: Reduction in data waste and more effective usage of customer-relevant data. All properties of the chain have access to complete (!) information about their guests, i.e. when did a guest stay at which hotel or what are his individual preferences and his consumer habits?
- Loyalty marketing/bonus systems: The needs and expectations of partner hotels become more transparent through centralized data management: Reception staff may refer to the guest's frequent flyer membership even before he will ask for credit of bonus points.
- Partnerships: Powerful distribution and marketing cooperations will operate even more successfully if they share their know-how and are aware of their partners' activities.
- Hotel search: Individual preferences of guests may be easily identified – thanks to the search function (i.e. four-star hotel with a fitness room).
- Availability: Every hotel can keep an eye on those chain properties that are most important for daily business and benefit from an up-to-date information about room availability throughout the chain.
- Cross-Reservation: Fully booked? Only one mouse click is necessary in order to do a reservation straight away in another hotel belonging to the chain or cooperation - without a time-consuming login (!) to that respective property.
- Cross-Check-out: Guests will benefit from a hotel group’s complete offering: They may use the sauna or spa facilities in next door’s partner property – and even check out there if they feel like it. Services from one house can be invoiced in another. Hogatex 6 Multi-property cross-check-out function allows for smooth internal cost allocation between a hotel chain’s different properties.
- Cross-check-out functionality may also decrease labor costs arising from night reception service: Some nearby hotels may possibly do without reception staff at night.
