Salzburg, June 2014: Austria-based Hotel Demand Management startup SnapShot GmbH, has

successfully closed its seed financing round in May. Founded in 2013, SnapShot has raised €2.2 million including participation by Shiji Networks (China) STR Inc (US), STR Global Ltd (UK) and Wulf van Alkemade (NL).

SnapShot as a solutions company, focuses on 'Hotel Demand Management' defined as the

merger of Revenue Management, Distribution, Marketing & Finance activities to drive optimal profit & performance. The company introduces a new platform to the hospitality industry consisting of three main pillars: Education, Consulting & a cloud-based Technology.

The education initiative launched early May at ESSEC in Paris, where 20 MBA students (IMHI) attended

SnapShot's first bootcamp. The content of the five-day course was generated by a team of 30 industry collaborators, centered on the subjects of Online Marketing, Revenue Management, Asset Management, Demand Generation and Communication.

SnapShot's technology platform has been developed first and foremost to help hotels better manage all

of their market & performance intelligence data by aggregating the information into one intuitive dashboard. Additionally, SnapShot is an Excel-killer that shifts hotel's budget, forecast & strategy tools into the cloud and tracks in real time the cost of distribution & acquisition.

SnapShot launched its beta-version in March 2014 and currently has approximately 15 brands testing

the solution as Early Adopters, ranging from independent properties through to larger hotel groups and international chains. Current plans are to deploy Version 1 in autumn 2014.

As David Turnbull (COO & Co-Founder) explained at the recent PhoCusWright Travel Innovation Summit in Dublin: 'One of the biggest

challenges hoteliers are facing today, is the increasing amount of performance & market intelligence data they are required to collect and integrate into their Excel planning tools. SnapShot fundamentally saves time for hotels and encourages higher collaboration and visibility of demand management data throughout the organisation.'

In June 2014, SnapShot will be attending HEDNA, HOSPA's Revenue Management Annual Debate

and HITEC.
