With many regions of the UK showing reductions in RevPar and increased supply, having access to the latest thinking and developments in the area of revenue management is important, to remain competitive in the marketplace. Ongoing training of employees at the university level, in collaboration with businesses like SnapShot, will lead to better solutions down the road.

The next short courses in hotel revenue management aim to introduce a collaborative approach to Demand Management, focused on:

  • The evolution of revenue management;
  • Market segmentation;
  • Distribution/transaction costs;
  • Pricing, demand and value;
  • Inventory control;
  • Hotel investment decisions – market analysis;
  • KPIs and benchmarking;
  • Forecasting

The main feature of the programme is a highly interactive hotel simulation exercise, that allows small groups to work together in managing a hotel over the course of one year of trading, competing to lead the market related to performance of the business.

The class will be conducted by Sylvia Ganbert, Teaching Fellow at the University of Surrey; and Janel Clark, Head of Consultancy and Education at SnapShot; both experts in revenue management.

"Sylvia and Janel are perfectly placed to provide sound teaching, demonstrating first-hand experience and an understanding of current challenges and developments in the area of revenue management," said Dr. Stefan Tweraser, CEO of SnapShot GmbH.

Participants who book prior to Christmas 2016, receive a 10% discount on course fees.
