Across the industry, Texas markets have outperformed growth in business and leisure revenue in comparison to overall markets and continue to steadily climb. In terms of IHG revenue growth in the U.S., Texas markets in aggregate (10 markets out of 165 total) were ranked 42nd in 2019 and have risen nine spots to 33rd in 2023. Influenced by the growth, roughly 17% of IHG’s U.S. development pipeline* of rooms sits within the state.
