Six Senses AMAALA

Six Senses AMAALA opens between desert cliffs, lagoon waters, and the Red Sea coast

Six Senses AMAALA opens in July 2026, bringing the Six Senses way of life to a second remarkable setting in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, following Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea.

The visionary wellness destination of AMAALA spans more than 1,600 square miles of protected Red Sea coastline, fringed by ancient desert peaks on one side and glittering coves that are home to thriving coral reefs on the other. Within this dramatic landscape, the new Six Senses sits between gentle beaches and a mangrove-fringed lagoon, with a striking clifftop mesa rising at its heart.

Designed for togetherness, the resort brings people closer. 100 suites and villas and 25 branded residences, inspired by traditional Saudi coastal architecture and hospitality, are woven into the natural terrain to welcome families and groups traveling together. This creates a village-like rhythm of discovery, brought to life through local heritage and storytelling, shared rituals, and nature-led experiences. Whether exploring the abundant marine life or tracing constellations across a clear sky, the unhurried pace is less about what is planned and more about what is shared.

Wellbeing flows through the entire guest journey, felt rather than prescribed. From sleep-optimised design and nutrient-rich "Eat With Six Senses" cuisine to the Six Senses Spa with its Longevity Center, Biohacking Recovery Lounge, Watsu pool and sound dome, every touchpoint supports a deeper sense of balance. Rooted in both ancient wisdom and modern science, it is intuitive, joyful, and quietly transformative — and held by the restorative power of sea, sand and sky.

Wellness Beyond the Treatment Room

Wellness is the thread connecting everything at every Six Senses, from how guests eat and sleep to the sand beneath their feet and what they discover at the spa. Six Senses Spa AMAALA is inspired by a hidden desert oasis, sheltered between high sloping walls, with lush vegetation, pools, and waterfalls creating a sense of refuge.

Treatment rooms open onto private terraces with lagoon views for signature massages and family pampering. An outdoor Watsu pool invites gentle release through movements guided by an expert. A dedicated sound dome offers calming sensory experiences, while the Longevity Center features cutting-edge science without forgetting the soul, including cryotherapy, PEMF therapy, and personal consultations. Separate male and female thermal areas include saunas, a salt room, and vitality pools. Daily yoga and fitness classes, more intentional multi-day programs, and group retreats round out the wellness journeys.

Dining Designed for Wellbeing and Celebration

Dining at Six Senses AMAALA follows the brand's Eat With Six Senses philosophy, with fresh, nourishing, and made-from-scratch food prepared with natural ingredients. A defining highlight is the resort's pioneering non-alcoholic beverage program, set to be among the most sophisticated in the region, featuring fermented drinks, botanical infusions, probiotic tonics, and signature mocktails designed for celebration and wellbeing alike.

Perched atop the mesa with wide Red Sea views, Soraya restaurant is an evening destination in its own right. The menu celebrates an artful fusion of Japanese precision and Latin American passion: delicate sushi and citrus-bright ceviche, refined knife work, bold marinades, and powerful flavors. The Red Sea's daily catch is served in a setting that is theatrical, vibrant, and made for long evenings shared around the table. Joud offers all-day Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine, from nourishing breakfasts to wood-fired pizzas and vibrant mezze dinners. At Beach Shack, the mood is relaxed and the menu knows no borders at tables just steps from the water, whether enjoying grilled seafood, homemade pastas, or refreshing sundowners.

Beyond the three restaurants, Bunna coffee roastery, Makhbaz artisan bakery, and the Nafas cooking school carry Saudi flavor through the resort's everyday life, adding to a culinary world that is as much about learning and connection as it is about eating.

Sustainability Becomes Discovery and Action

Six Senses AMAALA is part of a destination committed to operating entirely on renewable energy and is designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification for sustainable building practices. At its heart lies an azure mangrove lagoon, a natural haven unique among AMAALA properties, supporting vital marine ecosystems that protect coastlines and absorb carbon. Wooden boardwalks meander through the mangroves and over the lagoon, which becomes an adventurous classroom for younger guests through the Junior Mangrove Ecologist program.

In the Earth Lab, hands-on workshops also invite a deeper engagement with the natural world, from making upcycled art or beeswax wraps to blending essential oils from fresh-picked herbs and flowers. These are also, naturally, the kind of experiences families love to share, and Six Senses AMAALA is designed to bring generations together. For kids, Grow With Six Senses is a concept built around nature-based discovery and conscious play guided by a dedicated team.

Beyond the resort, the landscape invites adventures into the desert, and snorkeling and diving among some of the world's most vivid coral reefs. The Corallium Marine Life Institute houses a state-of-the-art ocean research and experience center and the AMAALA Yacht Club brings together a vibrant sailing community.

The resort is a 45-minute drive from AlWajh International Airport, 20 minutes by seaplane, or two hours from Red Sea International Airport (RSI), where airport concierge and lounge services are available for guests arriving from Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Malé, Milan, and Riyadh, and private jet connections are welcomed from global destinations. It marks the brand's second resort in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia alongside Six Senses Southern Dunes and adds to its growing presence in the region, which includes Six Senses Zighy Bay and Six Senses Shaharut, with Six Senses The Palm, Dubai expected to open later this year.
