No matter where you are in your career, there's always something to take away from association membership and something you can give back to others. This week's Member Spotlight honoree has seen both sides of the coin: meet Art Burger of Fountain Hills, Arizona who has been a member since 1985.
How long have you worked in the hospitality industry?
I've been in the hospitality industry for over five decades working for over a dozen companies in more than 60 different positions. I originally started working at 15 years old as a houseman at a Holiday Inn on the Ohio Turnpike, and that experience led me to graduate years later from SCF Bradenton in Florida with a degree in hotel/restaurant management. However, I've seen many different segments of hotels and sides of both the front and back offices in my time before my current role as principal of Art Burger Consulting, specializing in asset management and hospitality industry advisory services that include litigation expert witness engagement.
