Philip Bacon joined forces with Horwath HTL in April 2014 and is Global Chair. He is also the Practice Leader for Valuation & Transaction Advisory. Philip has over 40 years' experience in professional business advisory services and general management across a diverse array of independently managed and listed international companies.
With over 25 years of experience in international consulting and strategic advisory, with a specialisation in business planning, development strategy and feasibility, valuation, operator search, and asset management, Philip's experience spans Europe, the UK, Africa, the Middle East, and the Caribbean.
Philip has extensive experience in the strategic development and operations of hospitality assets and companies, with a particular focus on branded residential business models and mixed-use developments. He has successfully managed numerous projects and led cross-functional international teams through the development, start-up, and operational launch phases over the past three decades.
Philip is also a visiting lecturer at the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne's Online MBA Program, for which he created the hotel budgeting and forecasting module. He also serves on the Advisory Board for the Resort & Residential Hospitality Forum.
Philip holds a law degree from Queens' College, University of Cambridge. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Philip is panel expert of the Hotel Ownership and Asset Management panel.
