Anders Nissen, former CEO of Pandox AB (publ), passed away in May 2021 after a short period of illness. He had served as CEO of Pandox since its inception in 1995, and under his inspirational leadership, the company developed into one of Europe’s leading hotel property companies.

Anders Nissen had extensive experience in the hotel and hospitality industry, with more than 30 years in the sector. His career included ten years as CEO of a listed company, leadership roles as CEO of several other businesses, and senior management positions in both the Scandinavian and international hotel markets.

He also served as chairman and board member of several companies in both the private and public sectors. His career began with operational roles as director of several hotels in Scandinavia. Between 1985 and 1992, he held a number of executive positions within the RESO organisation, which at the time was Sweden’s leading hotel operator.

In 1993, Anders Nissen was appointed CEO of Securum Hotel & Turism AB, where he was tasked with restructuring Securum’s hotel property portfolio. The portfolio included hotel operating companies and hotel properties, as well as several golf courses and ski lift companies. He was one of the initiators of Pandox and remained its CEO from its founding in 1995 until his passing.
