Hotel teams are drowning in data and starving for clarity. Finance has one version of the numbers. Sales has another. Revenue management has a third. By the time the debate is resolved, the opportunity is gone.

I built Demand Calendar to fix that — a Business Intelligence platform that provides commercial teams in independent hotel groups with a single source of truth across rooms, F&B, meetings, and events.

In 2023, I co-authored the Profit-Oriented Revenue Management (PORM) framework with HSMAI and the Singapore Institute of Technology. PORM shifts hotel strategy from top-line revenue to true profit by making Customer Acquisition Cost visible inside the P&L.

I have spent more than 30 years in leadership roles in hotels and restaurants, beginning with revenue management in the late 1980s. For the past 18 years, I have taught Strategic Revenue Management on the Hospitality Management Program at Örebro University, School of Hospitality, Culinary Arts & Meal Science.
