Tyler co-founded Derive Ventures in 2021 and currently serves as a Managing Partner. Prior to co-founding Derive, Tyler spent four years as an investment professional at Thayer Ventures. During his time at Thayer, he was responsible for investments, portfolio management, fund strategy, operational support and strategic limited partner advisory.

Prior to Thayer, he was an analyst for BoA Merrill Lynch’s Technology, Media and Telecom Group. Tyler currently serves as a board observer to Life House and an advisor to Paradero, Fyxt and Storied Collection. He graduated from the University of Virginia and holds a Bachelor of Science from the McIntire School of Commerce.
