Andrew Paul is Founder and Managing Director of Americas Great Resorts, a luxury hospitality demand infrastructure company operating since 1993. He works with independent luxury hotels, resorts, and cruise lines on demand origin strategy, upstream guest acquisition, AI-mediated discovery, and the structural conditions that determine whether marketing investment compounds or resets.

Andrew’s work focuses on the gap between where a hotel booking is completed and where the guest relationship actually originates. His analysis argues that many luxury properties have optimized downstream channels for decades while leaving the point of demand formation governed by intermediaries, platforms, and increasingly, AI answer systems.

Through AGR, Andrew developed the Demand Origin Economics framework, which defines the structural conditions under which hotel demand is first created, which party controls the guest relationship at that point of origin, and how the resulting intelligence, pricing leverage, and repeat-access rights compound over time.

He also developed the Owned Demand Infrastructure doctrine, the upstream system through which independent luxury properties govern demand origin before intermediary comparison begins, and Knowledge Formation Optimization, AGR’s discipline for shaping how AI systems understand, describe, and recommend luxury hospitality entities before travelers reach OTA, metasearch, or platform-led comparison environments.

Andrew also originated the AGR Hotel Demand System, which defines hotel marketing as a governed architecture of demand introduction, conversion infrastructure, and guest relationship development.

His analysis has been published at Americas Great Resorts and across hospitality industry publications, including his HospitalityNet author profile.
