Mehmet Ferman Doğan is the General Manager of InterContinental Grand Ankara, IHG’s first directly managed luxury property in Turkey, located opposite the Turkish Parliament. He assumed this leadership role in April 2025, overseeing a major heritage renovation and repositioning the hotel as a symbol of prestige and international hospitality standards.
With over 20 years of global hospitality experience, Doğan has held senior roles at Kempinski Bodrum Barbaros Bay, and guided hospitality and mixed-use developments such as the Seabreeze Hospitality Town in Azerbaijan as CEO and advisor.
He has also worked with major international hotel brands—Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt Regency—leading pre‑opening, rebranding, and restructuring operations across the UK, Russia, Turkey, and the Middle East. A graduate in Computer Engineering from the University of Wolverhampton, he further advanced his academic credentials with an MBA from the University of Birmingham.
Fluent in English and also proficient in Russian, Doğan contributes thought leadership to the industry through articles and his book Master of Food and Beverage.
He is an active member of the prestigious Chaîne des Rôtisseurs in Turkey. In 2025, he published a widely discussed article on “Turizm 5.0,” stressing the transition toward a data-driven, experience-focused and sustainable tourism model that resonates with modern travelers’ values and storytelling needs
