Dr. Roland Schegg is currently a full professor at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland in Valais, where he also works as a researcher at the Institute of Tourism (ITO).

Previously, from 2000 to 2004, he worked at the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL). Dr. Schegg earned his BS from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ) and his PhD from the University of Geneva.
