Dr Taran Patel has lived and worked in several countries including India, France, Spain, Finland and the UK. She currently serves as a Full/Senior Professor at Grenoble Ecole de Mananagement. In previous years, she was (from 2009 to 2013) the Program Director of the MIB (Masters of International Business) program of Grenoble Ecole de Management. She has been a Visiting Scholar at the University of Oxford where she conducted research in the area of cross-cultural management, corporate sustainability reporting practices and the culture of innovations. She was also an affiliate researcher at the Center for India and Global Business at the Judge Institute, University of Cambridge. In past years, Dr Patel has published academic articles in many internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals. These include journals like Organization, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Organizational Change Management. She also has papers published in CNRS listed journals like Business and Society and European Management Review. Her first book entitled ‘Stereotypes of Intercultural Management' was published in 2007 and was the culmination of her doctoral thesis, which won the EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) Award for best doctoral thesis in the Corporate Governance category in 2006. Her second book entitled 'Cross-Cultural Management - A Transactional Approach' was published in 2013 by Routledge. She has recently finished editing (with Ahmad Salih) a third book on cross cultural management to be published soon with Routledge.
