Denise Reid is the event planning manager at Hyatt Centric French Quarter in New Orleans, LA. Previously, Ms. Reid served as the former president of the Event Service Professionals Association (ESPA). She has been an active member of ESPA since 2008. She has served on the organization's annual conference committee, DEI Committee, Accessibility Task Force and Mentor Committee. During her tenure at ESPA, Ms. Reid contributed hotel-specific content to the ESPA Foundational Training program, which was launched at the 2023 annual conference in Pittsburgh, PA. At Hyatt Centric, Ms. Reid is a national award-winning event services professional and hospitality trainer with a passion for providing authentically memorable events. She has worked at Hyatt Centric for over 15 years. During her 30-plus years in hospitality, Ms. Reid has received numerous accolades, including the 2023 Meetings Today Trendsetters Award, Smart Meetings Magazine 2022 Smart Women in Meetings (Visionary Award), 2018 HCFQ Manager of the Year, 2018 HRI Properties National Manager of the Year and 2018 ESPA Member of the Year.
