Gil Chan is the founder and CEO of CraftedStays, the direct booking website platform built for vacation rental property managers, with Aria, its AI layer, inside. He leads one of the industry's first original research programs on AI search, studying how engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews decide which hospitality websites to recommend. Before CraftedStays, Gil spent 15 years building software in Silicon Valley, including nearly a decade in e-commerce working with brands such as Patagonia, Sephora, and Nordstrom. He also operates his own short-term rental and hosts the Booked Solid Show, a podcast for property managers growing their direct booking business.
