I am a senior at Boston University pursuing a Dual Degree in Business and Hospitality Administration, with a strong interest in the financial and investment side of the hospitality industry. My academic and professional experiences have allowed me to explore the hospitality industry from several perspectives, including hotel operations, finance, revenue management, real estate, and investment. At my last work-experience in the Hyatt Regency Boston, I gained hands-on exposure to both finance and revenue management, which strengthened my interest in understanding how operational decisions translate into a hotel’s financial performance. I have also gained international hospitality experience through Hotelplan Suisse in Zurich, as well as previous hotel internships in Egypt, giving me the opportunity to see how hospitality businesses operate across different markets and customer segments. Having studied, worked, and lived across Egypt, Germany, Switzerland, the UK, and the United States, I have developed an international perspective and a strong appreciation for how culture, consumer behavior, and market dynamics influence hospitality. I have enjoyed working in environments where I can learn from people with different backgrounds and perspectives. Hospitality is also personally meaningful to me through my family’s involvement in the hotel industry, which has made me interested in hotel ownership, development, entrepreneurship, and family business. Looking ahead, I am most interested in the intersection of hospitality, real estate, and finance, especially hotel investment and development, and in understanding how the industry will continue to evolve across different markets.
