I started working in hotels during my second year of high school, waiting tables on weekends to buy myself a scooter. Between the tables I learned the first thing that matters: guests don’t pay for what you do, they pay for how they feel while you do it.
After that I held almost every role a hotel has to offer. Night shifts at the front desk, seasons on the entertainment team, my first management positions. The more I saw, the more convinced I became that the problem wasn’t the guests, the destination or the competition. It was the way hotels were being run.
Full properties that earned very little. Exhausted hoteliers who mistook work for results. Decisions made on instinct, and numbers read at the end of the season like a verdict instead of a guide.
That is where Bee Family came from, which I founded with Andrea Messinese. There were two of us, with no team, no clients and nobody who knew who we were. Today we are fifteen and we work with more than sixty properties across Italy: strategy, management, numbers, promotion and training.
We specialized in family hotels for a specific reason. It is the most complex segment and the most misunderstood: it looks as though the child is the main character, but the customer is the parent. The parent is the one who decides, pays, compares and judges.
I have written two books. “Vendete e Moltiplicatevi”, the first book in Italy on strategic marketing for family hotels. And “KAOS”, on hotel management, with a foreword by Michil Costa.
I host the podcast Tasto 9. I bring the Triangolo del Margine into the classroom. And I launched BeeFamily University, our training program for hoteliers, one department at a time.
My job isn’t selling optimism: it’s building clarity. I don’t promise growth, I show what is holding it back. I don’t sugarcoat reality, I put it in order.
Because in hospitality, the winner isn’t the one who works the most. It’s the one who reads best. Demand, data, people.
